About Us & Selection - We are a family run UK business and have been offering a welcoming and friendly service to our customers since 2006. Our new Westmount Music website will feature an increasing range of Musical Instruments and Accessories, as well as Rental Services, Sheet Music Downloads and Award Winning Online Lessons for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard and Theory, either via our range of Interactive CDRoms, or via our New Westmount Music School, powered by our partners at Gigajam.

About Us & Shop Origins - My name is Paul and I am 26 years old. The shop began as a hobby after I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September 2006.  I was a keen guitar enthusiast and always wanted to run some form of music shop, so started setting up and selling classical guitars and accessories on eBay. This kept me occupied between hospital visits, operations and during recovery, and what was first a hobby soon became a passion (some would say an obsession!) for customer service and selling music products that people may not usually be able to find. I couldn't have done this without the help and support of my family and friends, especially my Dad who gave me the money to spend on my first set of classical guitars (he is now my full time business parnter and book keeper!) and Mum who has never missed the post! I am pleased and very lucky to say that I made a full recovery and now hope to develop and expand the shop as much as I can, including taking the daunting plunge into a retail premises in the summer! So if you're reading this page, I really appreciate you taking the time to look at our shop and hope you find something useful to help with your music.

We have a range of stringed instruments for beginners and discerning musicians alike: including a wide selection of hand crafted Spanish Classical Guitars from the workshops of Antonio Sanchez, Prudencio Saez, Camps & Juan Hernandez; Quality European made Acoustic Guitars, Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Bass from Strunal in Czech Republic and Student Outfits for Violin, Woodwind and Brass from the highly acclaimed brands of Aulos, J.Michael and Carlo Giordano. We are increasing our range of Fair Trade Ethnic and West African Percussion and have recently secured new partnerships with djembe and percussion workshops in Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Mali. For our conventional drummers, we will soon be adding new drum kits and hardware products from Ludwig and Meinl. 

For Schools and Music Centres we can offer VAT discounts to your students via the Assisted instrument Purchase Scheme and can also create class packs to your requirements. We have access to a large catalogue of printed sheet music, including publications from Oxford University Press and Trinity Guildhall. We also offer sheet music and tabulature downloads for nearly 110,000 songs and over 260,000 Music Books, all from the largest catalogue of official, licensed digital and traditional sheet music, via our Partners at Musicnotes.com. Shipping - We offer FREE UK Mainland* SHIPPING on most of our items, unless otherwise stated. As we source our instruments from a wide range of suppliers, many of which are sent directly to us from the workshops in Europe, it is usually best to contact us for availabilty first, before you place your order, as some instruments can be subject to varying lead times. All items shown as 'In Stock' on our website will be in stock with our supplier and therefore available to order. Most accessories orders will be processed for Next Day delivery providing orders are placed before 12:00PM. Some items due to size and weight can take up to 4 working days for delivery if in stock from our suppliers in the UK. *Excludes Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. Goods are sent via courier.
